Hallonstenarna, late Friday evening after work. The first day of a weekend trip in the beautiful archipelago. The forecast was poor, the weather was pouring when we left the shore. Camp was raised in rain and some wind. Just when dinner was ready it all settled. The sunset was magnificent. The plan is to return next spring and spend another night there.

Finally I got a glass of cava. I have longed for a bit of bubbles for a few hours now. Now I’m enjoying it in the hotel lobby before going out for dinner.
Gaudi Day in Barcelona
Started out this morning with a small photosession in the old town near the convent in Barcelona. Winding streets and beautiful houses are all over. Interesting things to see and a lovely atmosphere. Once back at the hotel we teamed up with colleagues and went to Parc Güell to look at Gaudis enormous project in the northern parts of the city. Spent a few hours there before we returned to the hotel by foot. On the way we stopped at another of Gaudis projects, La Predera, a house he was commisioned to re-decorat in the early 20ths century. It is surely a sight and something you must experience yourself. The afternoon tapas were found at Cerveseria Catalana at the corner of La Rambla Catalunya and Calle de Mallorca. World class tapas!
Day-shift is over
Lunch, cava, walking around and looking at the beatiful sights of Barcelona. Now back at the hotel re-charging for the nightlife in barrio gotico and along La Rambla.
Love the weather, lack of some things.
Pfandmarke
A word to learn when in Germany is Pfandmarke. It sort of means refund. As in refund on bottles you buy. The refund is €1 for a 1/2 litre coke!
Finally wifi in Barcelona!
Arrived to Hotel Catedral late last night. Glad to find that there was free! Wifi on the hotel. One hour later, without being able to connect I crashed into bed. I must be on a lucky streak because two good things happened. First, my roommate did not snor. Thank god for that. Second, while eating breakfast the very free hotel wifi popped into action 🙂 I’m back online.
By the way the breakfast was nice and the hotel is cool. Very much design artsy stuff.
I’m out of here – hoy voy a Barcelona
Client happy, feet tired and the halls are full of visitors. Time for some sight seeing in Nürnberg for a few hours before departure to Barcelona tonight. My clients spanish rep said Barcelona had about 5 degrees today. Glad I brought my power houdi.
